Unnecessarily. In 1942, 6 of 8 German saboteurs, caught dry foot on US soil, were captured, denied habeas corpus, tried by military commission and then executed, all within 8 weeks of capture. What's different now? The Military Commissions Acts of 2006 and 2009 afford unlawful combatant Islamists who want to kill us with virtually the SAME rights you and I would enjoy in a federal court of law. That's the problem.
