IT'S WEDNESDAY FOLKS AND STEVEN BATES IS HOSTING WFL TONIGHT!!!
So come on over and Join Warriors for Life (WFL) & Steven TONIGHT for "STAYING COOL with the FONZ!"

Join our Volunteer, Air Force Veteran, Peer Support Specialist, and Writer/Author Steven Bates TONIGHT for "Mid-Week Musings!" edition of Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, sponsored and presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV).

We are asking everyone to share who we are and what support Victory for Veterans provides via WFL. If you know someone who is a veteran, first responder or a family member/caregiver, please ask them to join us for at least one meeting so they can learn more about what we do and how they can share their wisdom with others who may be able to learn from them.

We thank you in advance for being our voice and sharing our program and mission with everyone you know that can help and in turn benefit from their peers in a safe environment - the more people that are aware, the more lives we can affect and save for another day.

TONIGHT's Topic: "STAYING COOL with the FONZ!"

"78 years ago, Henry Franklin Winkler was born to Jewish immigrants Ilsa and Harry Winkler in the Manhattan borough of New York City. Though dyslexic from birth, Henry was clueless about his condition until he was acting as the Fonz in the TV series Happy Days and his son was diagnosed with the disability. Life was hard for the Fonz, but in his life we can learn so much about how to live ours as veterans and people struggling with our own disabilities. Not knowing about his dyslexia, Henry barely made it through high school, only getting his diploma after taking geometry for the fourth time in a summer school program. The Fonz, as we know him, never gave up though, and applied to 23 colleges, only being accepted by 2 of them. He persevered and eventually the man who would later be knighted by Queen Elizabeth and given an Honorary Doctorate degree, kept pushing on and struggled through an uphill battle in college, ending up with a Master of Fine Arts at none other than the Yale Academy of Drama! How cool is that? Later on, Henry Winkler epitomized coolness for all humanity as the leather-wearing, motorcycle-riding, down to Earth Master of Cool known as Arthur Fonzarelli, or, "The Fonz". Fonz taught coolness in a very humorous way and we as veterans can learn much from his character in helping to keep ourselves cool in times of stress."

Join Air Force veteran, author, and Peer Support Specialist Steven Bates with the Warriors for Life Mid-Week Musings as we discuss staying cool and how Henry Winkler teaches us that art we need as veterans in managing our PTSD.

Warriors for Life (WFL) Online, presented by Victory for Veterans, Inc. (VFV) — Wednesday (TONIGHT), October 30, 2024, @ 4:30 PM PT, 5:30 PM MT, 6:30 PM CT, & 7:30 PM ET

Ohhhhh Not the Fonz! He's so far to the Left. Personally I could probably have a Scotch with him and argue but I don't think he'd keep his cool long enough for it to be productive based on past appearances where he has made political statements.
