About

Trading cards have been around since the late 1800's when Honus Wagner played baseball. Cigar box cards, later packs with a stick of what was called chewing gum which could have been a part of C rations since it probably did not have an expiration date and certainly did not have a best chewed by date. In the 1950s Baseball cards became popular, over the next decades Football, Basketball and Hockey all gained traction in their markets. In the later 20th century many fantasy cards were produced some focused on adults and teenagers, Pokemon cards became popular in the 1990's. Military cards have been popular at times with the US Military getting involved in the production of the Desert Storm set. There are trading cards for every taste.
