I was passed over for Teacher of the Year for my school. It's no big deal. I didn't expect to win. Life goes on and I'll continue to teach the same as always. I am honored that I was selected as one of the six finalist out of 177 teachers at my school. That in itself is amazing.

As a fellow instructor and ATC Director for our own Authorised ATC I can identify with you. I never even actually gave it a thought. All of a sudden something would show up in the mail and I'd put it on the wall. I probably didn't appreciate awards as much as I should. You'd have to know my back story. Father Died when I was 10 years old and they told me I was the man of the house. And... I was dumb enough to believe them! So awards. Not so much. 8-)
