One thing about the Perseverance Rover that I have not kept abreast of is the fact that there are two microphones on board "Percy" that have now been used for scientific purposes... I think you will be amazed at this... No longer is there just video coming from Mars, but sounds as well...

"NASA’s Perseverance Mars rover carries two microphones which are directly recording sounds on the Red Planet, including the Ingenuity helicopter and the rover itself at work. For the very first time, these audio recordings offer a new way to experience the planet.
Earth and Mars have different atmospheres, which affects the way sound is heard. Justin Maki, a scientist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Nina Lanza, a scientist at Los Alamos National Laboratory, explain some of the notable audio recorded on Mars in this video."

How cool is that? We just heard some of the first ever recorded sounds coming from Mars.... unless there was intelligent life there a few hundred million years ago, or maybe a few billion... you know, back in the day...

I neglected to mention that this is a narrated Video along with some interesting sounds from both "Percy" and "Ingenuity" that I think you will all enjoy...
