RP Members and Connections thought you'd find this interesting. Army TV Series!
They should have one for "Real Lives of Veterans" and the issues we face today!
Soldiers Broadcasting is launching its newest video series called "Soldiers" Tuesday on Defense TV, YouTube and the new Soldiers webpage.
"These videos showcase the American Soldier in action, preparing for and conducting missions every day around the globe," said Maj. Gen. Malcolm B. Frost, U.S. Army chief of Public Affairs. "Soldier skills, grit, commitment and character will be on full display. You will be inspired by the Soldiers who defend our nation as part of the greatest team on earth."
The first episode of the series will follow an M-1 tank crew training and showcase the readiness and enduring value of Army forces. (Check out the link above for the other episodes)
The show will be available online beginning Jan. 31 at http://www.army.mil/soldiers or https://www.youtube.com/USarmy. It can also be viewed on Defense TV. The Defense TV app can be downloaded for free on iOS mobile devices, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV and Google Chromecast.

Somehow I am betting the Urine Test at the Unit Christmas party will not make the episode. Nor will Floor buffing, cleaning the wash rack, pulling a blown power pack those details always seem to get missed.

That is interesting COL Mikel J. Burroughs. The reality shows have tended to get normal people to behave abnormally in the past decade.
I prefer biographies of real people especially soldiers and marines and I enjoy first hand accounts such as those by Ernie Pyle in WWII.
I understand that PR is important is sending a message "These videos showcase the American Soldier in action, preparing for and conducting missions every day around the globe," said Maj. Gen. Malcolm B. Frost, U.S. Army chief of Public Affairs. "Soldier skills, grit, commitment and character will be on full display. I'm with you Colonel. I like the biographies of MOH winners and other extraordinary soldiers, sailors, airmen and women. Every Memorial Day and/or Veterans Day there are a number of radio stations that have programs like these and they are very popular, kind of like Paul Harvey's; "The rest of the story" or "Little Know Facts" narrated by Chaz Allen.

SFC Jim Ruether - I Concur. but it could be an effective recruiting tool. i think a lot folks have the perception that the military is heartbreak ridge and hacksaw ridge. Inspires some to join, but not the most accurate snapshot of what your average soldier is out there experiencing day-to-day. Maybe not awe-inspiring stuff, but maybe it reaches some potential troops out there sitting on Ma's couch right now.

SSgt Robert Marx - Sadly, no one knows about us until it's time for their FST to be trained or someone gets nasty bubbleguts.
