Why can't I simply share a link on RallyPoint?
All I wanted to do was share a link to an interesting website with unusual information about ancient Rome. The website wouldn't let me post it. So here it is...

One of my favorite pastimes is learning real history. Born on the same date as George Washington (just a few years later) I was raised with the mythology of the Father of our Nation. When I finally turned my back on the authorities (my teachers) I discovered the real Washington, a far more interesting and inspiring man. This article debunks some of my teacher's favorite myths about ancient Rome. Again, I find the people of that time far more interesting than the mythology taught in schools (and promulgated in the popular culture and media)
