PO1 William "Chip" Nagel Yes, there have been observations of wild orangutans using medicinal plants to heal their wounds. A notable case involved a Sumatran orangutan named Rakus, who was seen applying a paste made from the Akar Kuning plant to treat a large wound on his cheek
