I was Honorably discharged due to separation code JFT (physical standards). The only problem I had was my wife's car was repo'd and my name was on the papers for it, thus causing me to seek advice from my Chief as to what to do in that situation.I had recently purchased a new truck because mine finally kicked the bucket due to flooding at the time, and my Chief seemed a bit jealous about it. I was answered with a swift DRB and threat of Captain's Mast if i didnt take the truck back to the dealership and find something "more in my paygrade". The only reason I bought a new 4 door truck was because my wife had just given birth to our son, so that we could have a reliable source of transportation. Due to this I was immediately unable to take my exam to try for PO3 and my security clearances were revoked. This meant I could no longer work in my shop or with my equipment, and my Chief sent me to work with the engineers. Joke is on him though, they all loved having me down there and the GSMC even told that to my Chief numerous times. All in all I think my Chief pushed an agenda to have me unable to reeinlist.

Any thoughts?

1. Look, it takes the chain of Command, some time and paper trail to put anyone out, so don't whine about the Chief, cause he didn't do it on his own, and you must have had a pretty convincing paper trail for the CoC. 2. The services have not to my knowledge re-enlisted anyone with a RE4, so that just leaves you trying to get an upgrade to get a waiver. A real hairy problem. Contact nearest recruiter, and the VFW/AmLegion/DAV for advocate help with the appeal.

Not sure how the Navy works with prior service but your best bet is to have a conversation with a recrutier.

Do you mean you were discharged for financial irresponsibility? Failure to pay bills? Cause that is a legit reason. Revocation of a security clearance due to financial problems is pretty standard too. If you cannot maintain a clearance for your job you can't do your job. I hope it works out.

Negative, the reason I was discharged was due to physical standards. The whole financial problem was taken care of within the month of happening.
