How can I get my RE Code fixed to re-enlist in the USMC?

Prior service USMC here I got out with a RE-3P and after talking to an attorney I found my DD-214 was incorrectly done and I should not have gotten that re enlistment code and I got the wrong narrative reason for separation. My recruiters have told me their recruiting command will not authorize a waiver for a 3p so I have to get it changed to get back in. My ultimate question is if the naval board of corrections were to fix it to say a RE1A could I still be denied based off my medical records wording or is the re enlistment code all that matters?

What is your lawyer basing that the RE code is wrong on? There are policy guidelines for assigning RE codes.

In my dd214 in the re enlistment code states condition not a disability and a RE-3P is assigned for disabilities so it’s a contradiction and I was also told by my command I’d get something along the lines of a hardship discharge or at least something that would allow me to re enlist
