I was discharged from the Air Force in June with a 2B RE code and at the time I thought it was best to get out I had been dealing with major depression and suicide attempts for a year but now that I'm out I just miss being a maintainer and it is extremely hard to do in the civilian world I was wondering if anyone knew if I could get a waiver to re enlist in the future. Thank you for any help

With a 2B? Yes.
...with major depression and suicide attempts for a year, no. You may not join any branch of the armed services with a history of depression and suicide attempts.

My advice to you is to write your Congressional leader in your home district. Explain to your Congress person your unique situation. This may be of help to you. In the mean time, keep staying busy and focused.
It is very difficult to get a waiver after being release under the circumstances you have described.
Having said that, perhaps a Congressional memo may be in order. Explain what, when, why etc...
Good luck and I wish you well in this endeavor.

This what guidance says....
RE-2B- Discharged under General or other-than-honorable conditions
Consult recruiter to follow up. It does not look promising! Think for yourself here ! If you have/had mental problems why would you resort to joining the military??
