I notcied that Rally Point will start to have a premium account where it seems you might have to pay for it. I saw the offer for the free account if you claim it before the 9th. There are other websites like this that you have to pay for the premium account but, I have not paid for them. Together we served is the first social media site that comes to mind that wants you to pay for the account. Just wondering what everyones opinions are?

Depends on what's offered with the paid service.<br><br>I'll tell you one thing, RallyPoint is quickly becoming an important networking tool amongst the military and if they decide to go public, I'll 'camp out on a curb' waiting for the IPO release.

I agree. They can easily make money with targeted advertising, yet I would have to see what was offered through a premium account.

I don't about and IPO...that's going too far. Look at FB and TWEETER, they are free social networks and serve the world and have not kicked off like GOOGLE and LINKED IN. I believe RP is too young for an IPO, they need to start advertising USAA and Army Times (example) IOT accrued some sort of revenue first.

charge service members or veterans for the features you currently enjoy. In the
future we will likely have premium accounts for corporate recruiters and
businesses who are looking to hire military personnel, but that will not affect
your access".</font></p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;" class="MsoPlainText"><font color="#000000" size="3" face="Consolas"></font>&nbsp;</p><p style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt;" class="MsoPlainText"><font color="#000000" size="3" face="Consolas">I think it is really cool that they get back to you so quickly. </font></p><p><font color="#000000" size="3" face="Times New Roman">

Nice, I like the unit assignment idea.   I'm not sure if the gains/losses are official channel communications but definately a good way to go.
