SPC Jan Allbright, M.Sc., R.S. I don't think this getting out of hand. I think this is right thing to do.
The Purple Heart, was already awarded previously for Terrorist Attacks, overseas (Berlin, Frankfort... ) for the most part, until 911 (Pentagon). Things changed on 911, and now attacks have occurred here.
Why our administration is reticent to call them terrorist attacks, is a separate issue I can't explain.
Terrorism has a specific definition, and these incidents clearly meet that definition. Further, they were motivated by an extremist ideology that is actively encouraging attacks on US military personal.
Nevertheless, the PH should be award for any wounds or deaths as a result of a terrorist attack overseas and here.
The face and nature of warfare has changed.

I've heard to many stories of them being awarded for stupid incidents... If they are true then all you have to do is fall out of the back of a truck in Jordan And break an arm...
