Vanishing point was an early 70s movie about a guy who was avoiding police in a white Dodge Challenger. It's a cult movie like the original Gone in 60 Seconds. No, not the one with Angelina Jolie and Nicolas Cage in 2003 but the one that came out in the early 70s.

Reminds me of the OJ chase. Was stationed at Camp Pendleton and crashed early after coming in from the field. I woke up to see the chase on TV with white Bronco. I shouted for wife and kids to come see, and they got a good laugh. It had happened hours before but I never saw it and was watching replay. The original Vanishing Point was good, the redux not so much but ok still. Those Hellcats have a 707 hp engine.

Yeah, it reminds me of the OJ chase all right... Ho hum.
I have been driving down the freeway at night in ND going 85 and had sports cars go by sounding like a small aircraft.170plus.... (thought they were f**** nuts too. Imagine striking a deer at that speed?)

Seriously? What a joke. I think most of those announcers must wear condoms when they take themselves in hand.
I've driven 160 right up through the middle of fargo on I29...
You wanna talk about passing them like they are standing still? Just ask me.
(I did that stuff when I was 23 on a V65). But really? I can hit 100 on a four block stretch and get stopped 1/2 a block before the end in the industrial park..
100 mph ain't s***. Besides. I used to live down there. If you weren't going about 90 in the left lane you would get your ass run over.
That stuff looked like an OJ blazer chase.

SGT Robert George - Yep. Seems to me the man knew his limitations anyway. Made it through four counties then ran out of gas. The cops were probably about 100 times more likely to have or cause an accident driving through that mess weaving in and out of lanes with lights and sirens blaring.
Dumbasses never seem to figure out that NOT chasing someone will let them catch them a hell of lot faster. And if they don't? Well who really gives a damn anyway.
No harm no foul.

PO3 John Wagner Yup, 110 + on I29 North of Grand Forks, passing like they were standing still rings a bell. But that was in 'no mans land', agree that 75 on an LA freeway is slo mo compared to normal traffic.
