In a letter to the US Embassy in Ireland, the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre said McGregor's meeting with US President Donald Trump "effectively normalises sexual violence and trivialises its impact on survivors".

Sexually based offenses are such a strange thing in politics. When it's Bill Clinton, Al Franken, or Anthony Weiner, it's totally fine even though it's well documented to have actually happened. At the same time, it's totally routine for someone to come out of the woodwork and accuse pretty much everyone on the right, and it's "believe all women" because there's no supporting evidence.
Only two people know whether McGregor actually raped that woman. I wouldn't shun him over that allegation, I'd shun him because he's a nut job.
