Can you imagine generals, colonels and Lieutenant colonels not being able to have command because they couldn't pass the tuck? I thought planking was going to be the alternate not the primary. I would prefer the tuck. I guess because I can do 15 pull-ups at 59 years of age that doing one tuck it's no big deal. It's a good idea but I still think they're going to lose a lot of soldiers. I had no problem passing mine just before I retired. I normally got between 280 and 300 on the old army physical fitness test.

I agree LTC (Join to see). I think planking is far more difficult. Also, IMHO considering that 3 out of the 6 events are endurance/leg strength related, I believe the 2 mile run should have been shortened to only 1 mile.
