Unfortunately, tho pain measurement is critical, it remains elusive to measure it. Neurological scans are showing some validity and reliability. It is so important to measure this precisely.

My normal is around a 5 but has been a 10+. It’s difficult to imagine a life without pain. I’m sure many of the members on RallyPoint Shared Content feel the same way.

As I shared on a different post, that was the absolute worst thing about when I was prescribed fentanyl. I wake up at a 4, I go to bed at a 6 some days, 7 most days. 4 is my new 0. When that fentanyl hit, I was able to feel an ACTUAL 0. No pain at all. Which was just cruel. Because when it wore off, and the 4s and 5s came back, re- accepting that as "normal" was not only physically painful, it was emotionally and psychically painful.
