A couple things. I firmly believe there was more truth in Blackadder's comment on a "...Goes Forth" than any British general would ever admit. This goes for our Generals too.
As to the Russian loss of Generals, I wonder how many of those were 'combat lossed' by Stalin during prior to Operation Barbarosa?
