Hurricane Helene brought down a black walnut onto my house (parallel to the roof, no damage) Since I had to cut it up anyways, I used a fork and part of the trunk to make a cat acrobat stand for her cats to play on. The whole thing cost me about $50.00 including the remnant of carpet.

Just bought a 1 x 6 x 8 black walnut board $105.. about crapped. Nice job on the cat house…probably not correct name, but I like the sound ;)

Cpl Vic Burk I would look up "High End" cabinet makers or certain Artists that work with wood. You would get a killing for what you have

I'm not sure if Black Walnut is a "harvestable source" anymore, I know some trees are illegal to cut down due to the scarcity and preservation The Arbor Day Foundation & the Forestry service will tax the heck outta you for even having certain types of hardwoods.
You did a really good job there!
I have a "Honey Do" list about a mile long; may need to hire you. LMAO

I have a lot of black walnuts on my property. I don't ever cut them down since I also have a lot of squirrels who use the nuts to survive the winter. There's nothing l like sitting in my woods and watching natures acrobats jumping tree to tree chasing after each other. They really put on a show for me sometimes. A buddy of mine who passed away a couple years back (also a Marine!) planted five acres of black walnuts fifty year back and sold the trees for $75,000.00! Afterwards he wished he didn't and replanted the entire acreage again. His son swore he will never sell!
