My best memory was me in the soul train line, breakdancing (windmill) all the way through it. I was in full Class A's...Great night. What are your experience's?
And if any one is interested I have attached the link to the Tampa Event if anyone is in the area and would like to attend.

The most enjoyable and most memorable ball was after coming home from Iraq in 2007, 1-36 Infantry in Friedberg, Germany. Probably the closest unit I've ever been with (I guess 14 months of combat brings you together very close!) Our Grog was done in the tank of a toilet...was a great time for all ranks, everyone participated (we had to turn people away at 500 tickets due to max building capacity)! Great times amongst Warriors!

I've never had the honor of attending a Military Ball before. I wish I could attend one.

I wouldn't even know where if it was at Ft. Belvior or Ft. Meyer or what. Besides I don't want to go alone. Thank you anyway.

PV2 Lisa Wilcox, TSgt Hunter Logan More better, go to a USMC Birthday Ball. You know how those Marines are! They all seek to revel in the history and traditions displayed at one of their b'day ball.
Through Marine connections, 3 years ago, I was fortunate to attend a Ball at La Costa, a 'latte da resort' near San Diego. my dress Blues actually weren't too conspicuous, or maybe my CSM attitude helped!
We were seated w/ the Youngest Marine in attendance. After MG Mattis (of 1MAR Div fame), cut the cake, the eldest (older than me), Marine had the next slice Marine, then the youngest Marine, from our table, marched up for the next slice.
Hell of a party! In my own style, during cocktails, Mary Ann and I befriended a Marine spouse that appeared to be pg and 'lost' Her CPL. husband had stepped out for a smoke.
As the party was winding down, I refused a COL's offer of a cigar on the patio by saying I was an addict!

My Army colleagues are trying to get me to go. I guess I can brush off the Mess Dress. :)
Marriott Waterside is beautiful! We had the AF Ball at Hilton Downtown; also gorgeous.
Maybe I will see you there! :)
