I'm going to ensure that the best damned Cavalry Squadron on the face of God's green earth gets the best training they can while launching .50 Caliber and 40mm rounds at the Plywoodian Army of The Republic of Central Yakima. Veterans day in the field. Cold. Windy. Wet. Dirty. And damned happy to be doing it. Give me the wind and cold over the desk and warmth any day. You can have your BBQ's. I'll take the Meatball Marinara MRE and wash it down with gritty coffee. It's cavtastic.

We are attending the local parade. Even in this little town, there is a cemetery of with the graves of our fallen all in rows. The kiddos and I (if the weather holds out) will be placing a single flower next to the headstones. Even if the families have long since moved on, it's important to instill in this future generation, that those who came before their mommies and daddies are not forgotten.

That's not right @SPC (P) Keven Lahde. I'm surprised and dismayed Vegas didn't have anything.

Have a beer and salute those who came before us. And remember the Marine Corps birthday the day before.
