I'm there with you on P10-17 . This is nerve racking. So much for hoping to get pinned before Christmas.

try being on 08-17 and still waiting for fedrec. I am 4 weeks away from this being a year long process.

Yeah. This is absolutely egregious and inexcusable. It's impacting our livelihoods now and for no good reason; like being punished for something you didn't do.

National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS
Yesterday Congress introduced The National Guard Promotion Accountability Act, bills S. 2801 and HR. 5713, to address nearly 7,000 Guardsmen waiting for federal recognition of their promotions. For...

Congratulations to all the P10-17ers! Any updated from P11-17ers? P12-17 is still holding at the same Sec Def stage and nothing hit iPerms yet. I'm assuming they can't be that far behind P10-17.

P11-17 is still on the SecArmy's desk as of this morning according to my lovely 310 day tracker...

Unfortunately nothing from what I can see, sir. I did have someone tell me that their rank in AKO updated before the G1 portal or iPerms, so I've added one more site to my daily routine of dashed hopes. ;)

I have to wonder if something is happening. I can't get into the ARNGG1 site to check on my daily obsession. It's probably just our lack of connectivity, but still.

I just got on ARNGG1. Nothing new there, still says P10-17 is at Sec Army at 318 days on the counter.

Unfortunate news for P10-17'ers...I just spoke with Renee Marshall and she said that she hasn't gotten any word that P10-17 is actually at OSD, and that we should expect the process to be at minimum a month more. She said the hang-up for us happened at HQDA, although I'm not really sure that matters at this point...I really don't have the words for how defeating and deflating this process is/has been...
**Update 03 APR from COL (Join to see) - I just got an email back from Rene (15:02) and this was her response: "Per our last update from HQDA G-1, P10-17 is currently with OSD pending approval"**

The way this thing has moved over the last year I won't be surprised if we break 400 days. July is looking like more of a safe bet everyday.

CPT (Join to see) - I remember the days when we were young and innocent and thinking that we might make it through around 210 days...

Welcome. Nice to have a P11-17'er in the discussion, but sorry for anyone in this process as well. I think P10-17 is around 270 days today at DCS-G1.

This is sad and has negatively impacted everyone's career in one way or another. At least its moving along and I hope they fix it for the next group.

BTW-thank you and RP has been my only source of outreach. I mostly just drive home and feel sorry for myself each day. (JK) Thanks for the help!

Here is an updated NGAUS article on their FEDREC survey...I only wish the survey was still open so that we could have shared our experiences as well, but there are some great resources here for contacting your elected officials:

NGAUS ‘FedRec’ Survey Finds Frustration
Washington Report (February 20, 2018) Nearly half of the more than 3,000 National Guard officers from every state and territory who responded to a NGAUS survey said they waited more than 196 days for their most recent promotion to receive federal recognition. “This process is 110% ridiculous,” one respondent commented on the system that requires the Pentagon to sign off on all Guard promotions.

Good article and nice to see there was follow up from the survey. Still, it doesn't bring up the topic of responsibility to the soldier and intentions of making it right for those who have been subject to these injustices. It does provide more info that we can give to our elected officials.

LTC (Join to see) - I completely agree. There is no incentive to correct the system right now, and I don't believe there will be unless there is more exposure. Hopefully someone's MoCs will take up this issue; it has been radio silence so far from mine...
