On this 80th anniversary of D Day, there is one town in the US that gave more than its fair share. Bedford, Virginia had 37 of its sons as members of the 116th Infantry Regiment, 29th Infantry Division. On D Day, 19 of those in who were in Company A, would be killed in action in the first minutes of the attack. By the end of the day the company suffered a 92 percent casualty rate: only 18 men out of the original 230 men had not been wounded or killed. We will never forget them!

I Take Pleasure In Knowing We Can't Forget These Men,
Because I Believe It Should Be That Way,
Always Paying Our Respects For What They Gave To Us,
Our Life, Our Freedom, And Protection From Those Whom
Would Take It From Us.
