About

A 303X3 was a special kind of technician. In many cases you not only repaired the equipment, but operated it as well.
From Ground Directed Bombing, Radar Bomb Scoring, Drone Tracking, to Electronic Warfare Simulator, these were the roles we played.

History of this career field

I'm told that one Squadron, 3rd TEWTS, was spawned from an AN/MPS-19 (Serial #177) that tracked an F-4 near Subic Bay in the Philippines in 1978, that was originally part of the 3rd CSG, Det. 2.
It was the first Radar Set I worked on, in the field in 1979 at Camp O'Donnell, Crow Valley, Lima Site.
