Has anyone with color blind deficiency gotten pass in the 17c packet and training program? Just to say I am only mildly red/green color blind. I went to MEPS 4 years ago and did not have this MOS as a choice then, but I had almost 60% of Army jobs available due to my scores. Until I took the color-blind test and failed resulting in the choice of about 6 MOS in the end, I took up 92Y which I love but now having almost finished my Cyber Degree and completing a COMPTIA A+ Cert. I want to try and move my career forward with dropping a 17c packet. My only reserve is that the color-blind test will bite me in behind again. I have thought that color-blind glasses and/or contacts will help, but will that be enough? I just don't want my hopes and dreams crushed but I would love some help or insight from someone who has had a similar problem.

I'm putting together my packet now, to submit by the end of the month. My career counselor said put all doubt behind me and move forward if I have to change course later on I will but at least submit the packet and see where it takes me. But I haven't disclosed I'm colorblind and have gotten some glasses to help. I'll come back to this post after an acceptance or denial later to update you.
