About
An early attempt to give the Army long range fires with nuclear capability. The Honest John is an unguided rocket using a simple ballistic trajectory to reach its target. While spectacular to watch launch not exactly a game changer. Max range was limited and put launching crew at risk of its fallout.

Best parts of having this specialty
It was fun to go to Grafenwhoer to launch, beat the boredom of staying in the barracks. We would launch a couple every year.

Advice on how to transfer to this specialty
Get a time machine, this system hasn't been used in decades. Our launcher was on a 54 Studebaker chassis.
