1) The Wreaths are non-denominational.
2) Families are ABSOLUTELY allowed to opt out
3) As a matter of policy, when asked by Jewish leaders, the wreaths are not laid on tombstones marked by a star of David, as wreaths and flowers go against Jewish custom, unless the family requests a wreath
4) And here is the big one. WREATHS ARE NOT CHRISTIAN. They are actually Pagan / tied to Druidic / Wiccan rites. Every single mention of a wreath in the ENTIRE Bible is a reference to a wreath worn on the head, usually akin to a laurel wreath (although many mentions were cast in gold, and some were decorative, they were still referencing the laurel wreath) or the wreath of thorns (crown of thorns) from Jesus's trial and crucifixion. The "Christmas" wreath we see today? Yeah, nothing Christian about it, other than it appears in the winter, which is also when we celebrate the birth of the Christ.

So yeah, go take your protest and shove it someplace uncomfortable.
(Like the back seat of a Volkswagen.)
(Obscure reference, bonus points to those View Askew fans who get it).

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen Weinstein needs to get a life and deal with it. Placing wreaths is a sign of respect as far as I am concerned. If a family objects then they should go remove the wreath themselves.

Yes, I agree plus a wreath was a sign of respect and honor long before Christianity came along.
