Serious issues with this decision.

The Georgia Supreme Court said that the sex crime stuff made him look like a bad guy and prejudiced the murder trial. So his sex crime conviction stands and re-try for murder.

Excuse me? The sex crime stuff prejudiced the murder? It was the sex crime that makes him look like a bad guy. Not the murder. The sex crime.

Reading between the lines, killing your kid doesn't make you a bad guy. But sending an explicit text to your kid's friend does.

I completely understand their point. But if texting underage girls prejudices the outcome a murder trial, how the HELL does killing your kid NOT prejudice a sex crime trial?

It seems to me that all these courts second guessing a jury decision has taken the wind out of the sails of Justice. Does this mean that if you are pulled over for speeding and Felony hit and run, and the driver of the other vehicle is killed, and they find you drunk behind the wheel, with an open container, and drugs in plain sight that these all must be tried in separate trials? Where does the madness end? It seems like the only real justice is going to be 'Accidental' head injuries, aka vigilant actions. Everyone complains that the prisons are over crowded and sentences are being shortened to serving no real time. What is the answer? I SALUTE All My Fellow Veterans!!!! GOD Bless America!!!
