Where Have All the Officers Gone? | National Review

My friends that are or were still police officers are leaving or preparing to leave!

Why should anyone want to protect those that don't care whether those that are protecting them live or die, only a small percentage of the people care about them Lt Col Charlie Brown , let those that are against police protect themselves from the criminals ma'am, see how they fair.

Even several years ago, my best Army buddy who was first a Council Bluffs, Iowa cop, then retired from Omaha PD was concerned. He cited that many police recruits, required to be college graduates during his police years, were quite liberal AND anti-2nd Amendment. I have to wonder if officers of that persuasion don't happily sit back and obey the "hands-off" directives of liberal politicians and Chiefs.
Couple that with the lack of recruits who see the erosion of the, "protect and serve," manner of policing, those who do apply just may be inclined to, "look the other way," which Dem Mayors and Chiefs seem to favor.
A recipe for anarchy to be sure!
