Part of the issue with Social Media is that it very often doesn't reflect reality; so many people's lives are not what they portray and yet people think it is all true and compare themselves to what they see. That makes them depressed and anxious and leads to bad outcomes.

Yes Charlie, I’ve found myself thinking that very same way after spending too much time on social media and had to shake myself and remember reality. It is much harder for a teen to do the same.

During the "pandemic", a lot of teens in my neck of the woods still interacted on a personal face to face basis, they kept to their little groups, and once in a while interacted with others, a lot of this is the opposite in areas controlled by those that listen with bated breath to the CDC and people like Fauci for their next instruction on what to do Lt Col Charlie Brown

Whatever Social Media site is being used, will determine whether it is helpful or whether it is destructive... IMHO, Social Media sites are filled with a large number of negative thinking individuals who have completely gravitated to the "WOKE" rule of thought, which can be very destructive... My view is that if one needs help, one needs to get an appointment with a medical professional...who is trained/educated in dealing with Psychological issues...One of my sons is a clinical Psychologist with a P.H.D.
