When I was in the UK last summer I went to the Imperial War Museum in Duxford which is where their static display and working aircraft are kept. There are more working spitfires there than anywhere in the world so I saw some of those fly.
The Memphis Belle is there too. They have her out on the tarmac and fly her periodically. While I was there, they went through the start up procedures. She is not the original Memphis Belle but she is the one used in the 1989 film. She is the last working B17 in the UK, perhaps all of Europe.

SSG Samuel Kermon - My wife is a Brit. We get over there pretty regularly. Every now and then I get to go to some place like Duxford. There are all kinds of great WWII military sites in the UK. The jewel in the crown, in my opinion, are the Churchill War Rooms in London.
The Imperial War Museums WWI display in the main museum (London) is incredible too.
