The phrase "unalienable Rights" which has been applied to our founding documents including the Bill of Rights means that the amendments are natural rights which cannot be alienated, surrendered, or transferred.

These rights, not "privileges," are endowed by our Creator, God, Gaia, or Mother Earth, not the government, with certain unalienable Rights, those being Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. And to secure these rights, our Government is instituted among the citizens of our country, deriving their authority from the consent of We the People, not the bureaucracy and not the elected representatives of our country.
