Interesting position. I recall years ago debating for weeks on purchasing something made in Vietnam, today I never give it a thought but the same regime that we lost a war to still runs the country.

Vietnam makes a lots of tactical clothing and boots. They also make clothes that Walmart sells. I have a closet full of security uniforms that were made in Vietnam including 5-11 gear.

Company where I worked ordered lots of uniform items from Lands End and most of them came from Vietnam. Quality stuff BTW.

I am absolutely floored Vietnam could forgive us for the Vietnam war. Maybe it's due to the older generation getting replaced by younger ones. There must be some sort of trait in the culture to facilitate forgiveness. Some say the influence of Buddhism is paramount.
