Koreans as a nation have a soft spot for US veterans. I wish we had more activity on RP from Korean War vets, but their numbers are dwindling.

South Korea has strong ties to the US for many reasons and on many levels...unfortunately, the Korean War Veterans are very few and far-between. My father served in the USAF during Korean War. He was 90 when he passed in 2015. He did not serve ‘in country’, only stateside...

I've met a few ROKMC Marines who served in Vietnam and they are exceptionally pro-American.
