Fifth Army is chartered to coordinate with the DOD for military assets that are needed. During the pandemic it coordinated for medical and mortuary affairs teams. 600+ emergency medical/quarantine stations were identified across the nation. There were also hospital ships, and the Air Force provided lift capability.
