I honestly hope this works out and not get fleeced. Whoever they give this money to, I do hope they do their checks and balances very tight with actual professionals. We, my Brothers and I, lost a Desert Storm Brother from my old unit in Germany that served in the Gulf War to suicide last week.
The DOD needs to do better for Soldiers on active duty still. I can only speak about the Army and my experiences and they are critically understaffed!!! What counselors they have CAN NOT handle the work load of a Post let alone a Battalion size. Educate the Chain of Command to recognize a Soldiers want to get help and not chastise them for doing so and making it hard for them when training comes up. Training will always be there. A Soldier who finally calls it quit after NOT getting the support they need from their COC, taps out, isn't coming back. Won't be there for the next FTX.
