Wow! As a veteran WAC it is always fun to see the first female... I as th first female to complete Arctic Survival School in Alaska. Not as cool as commanding an aircraft carrier. Just saying.

Leadership is hard...but harder if you are a female in this role. She is the first and unfortunately she will be "unofficially" scrutinized on her every move. She will have to work harder to earn the respect of her crew. She will get their because she is a educated, smart, and dedicated Naval officer. I wish her all the best luck and thank her for breaking glass ceilings and allowing dreams to come true for young ladies everywhere.
