When the NSSA ( North South Skirmish Association) founded in 1950 used Original Muskets from the Civil War. As late as the 1990s Some shooters still used originals that were 135 years old.

I was assigned the Ma Deuce when I became track commander on top of a M 113 APC. I always loved shooting this monster. This creates so much havoc down range. Thanks for sharing this historical story of this time tested weapon system.

SGT John " Mac " McConnell TC of a 113? A hatch cover riding TC or a proper, safe TC?

SGT John " Mac " McConnell Senario: BDE CDR drops down via a Jet Ranger, exits the bird while screaming at one of our PLT LDRs on a PC. PLT LDR exits his seat in the hatch cover and lands at attention in front of the PC in one move. The colonel conducted an LOUD on-the spot correction!

This old warhorse deserves to be put out to pasture, not sent to the glue factory...
