Thank you sharing the interesting news that long ago and far away that Robert Swan Mueller III was the captain of the St Paul's boarding school lacrosse team that John Kerry played for in Concord, New Hampshire in 1962. It is not surprising that these two also played hockey on the same team.
It seems the wealthy of the northeast tend to have similar backgrounds. it seems the old-boy network and now the old-girl network have helped elevate deserving and less than deserving to prominent positions. :-)

Having been stationed in New Hampshire for over 10 years I can attest to the snobbery associated with this school as well as their protect other classmates at all costs attitude.

I can see two people growing up together with different philosophies on life remaining friends despite their differences. What I find interesting is how many of the Washington elites have gone to the same prep schools. If you look and the leaders in industry and government in the USA you will find that most attended one of three of the elite prep schools in New England.
