I saw top gun Maverick yesterday with the wife.
Glad I was able to see it after this stupid delay because of covid-19.
The plot makes sense considering who our enemies are today.
I'm sure there's a lot of Hollywood in the movie and exaggerations but I still enjoyed it and it was better than I thought it was going to be!

Not impressed with the original so I'm in no rush go see this one. I'm sure it will be good for a laugh though.

CSM Charles Hayden I actually worked at HQUSCENTCOM with a Navy officer who was a technical advisor on the original. His stories about the directors and cast were hilarious.

What was interesting was what was said in the original Top Gun was reiterated in the second Top Gun. Some of the Lessons Learned or philosophies.
After watching the original Top Gun on Amazon Prime, I watched Final Countdown on Tubi. I have seen Final Countdown three times in the last two weeks.
I saw it when it came out in 1980.
I know the 11 million dollar communist Chinese movie company pulled out of it because it was too patriotic. Screw the Chinese text Paige Point they are influencing our box-office too much so it's actually great to see a movie that is pro-american, America first!
The Navy and Air Force are short Pilots. Even some graduates of the Navy Academy didn't want their covid-19 shots so they're not getting their Commission. This movie top gun Maverick will inspire people to be aviators.
