When I was in the army (70-71), there were quite a few CIB's with one star and it was not uncommon to see 2 stars on the award.

For myself, I would say that they need to put the SSI back on the dress uniforms for both duty and combat commands. not a pin replica for combat command and no duty (as I have been led to understand) many units from desert storm cannot be found in the pins (most of 7th Corps). And they should be worn much more often and when off post, I have not seen a dress uniform on a soildier since 9-11, and don't tell me that it is because of the "war footing" I call it lazy and lack of pride. Especially for the recruiters who are the face of the Army to their clients.

You just need to search for combat service id badges. https://www.iragreen.com/vii-corps-combat-service-identification-badge.html

John H Green Jr - Thank you for that, when I first posted I had been looking but no joy. after going through there I was at least able to find my Bde badge, but not my companies. (it was unofficial but dates to Vietnam, can find the patch, but still no pin)
