What an incredible mess. I know the Dems see it, but continue to encourage it. I'm obviously missing the logic.

1LT Vance Titus - I don't think Dems "encourage" it per se. We are just more apathetic about it. On the day to day, what is messing up my life scale, some refugees entering the country illegally isn't that high. They generally don't compete for skilled jobs and don't really make the country that much more dangerous.

What do many of us care about? Things that we actually feel, like our nation's health care mess. That seems to match Republicans too, they are more concerned with things they think are likely to impact them. It's just that Republicans, for whatever reason, feel this problem is more likely to personally impact them more than Democrats do.

Apathetic, good word. "some refugees", how about over 2 million. You are correct, for the most part they don't compete for skilled jobs, but they do put a extreme burden on local, state, and federal resources...food, shelter, medical, schooling, jobs of some sort? "don't really make the country that much more dangerous", how about the fentynol, other drugs, known criminal and terrorist got aways, property destruction along the border, petty crime by refugees trying to get by. Yeah, apatheic is a good word, so is, "all of us have to pay for this."
