Roosevelt Jr was portrayed in one of the D-Day shows I watched, his men were said to be inspired with how calm he was on the beach in spite of men dying on either side of him from Machine Gun Fire. He was a truly courageous man and leader.

'Struth! He saw action as a battalion CO in WWI and as a regimental CO and later ADC of the 1st Inf. Div. in North Africa, on Sicily, and in Italy.
