Lt Col Charlie Brown I'm not in agreement with the mandatory vaccine but what is really, really stupid is if they are doing work online or research remotely and they don't even go on campus making students get the shots. WTF?

If students don't like this, they do have the option of attending other universities. Taking the vaccine and/or boosters is still their choice. They are not entitled to attend any specific university that they want.

SFC Bernard Walko - While that may be true now for Hillsdale (and possibly a very tiny number of schools), that has only recently become the case. Plus, their endowment still benefits from indirect federal subsidies via the tax code. Also, read about the collaboration between Hillsdale College and Hillsdale Hospital (who does receive significant federal funds through their Medicare and Medicaid populations) on the Covid vaccinations to the community....including many Hillsdale College faculty, staffers and administrators. They weren't even in the initial priority groups when they finagled their way into getting vaccines. The fact that a federally funded partner (Hillsdale Hospital) provided federally funded vaccines (Covid) to the Hillsdale College workforce (faculty, staff, and students) is an indirect acceptance of federal money. So, they are not 100% free and clear of any federal money, despite how they are trying to position themselves. Good for them for being the closest of all universities.

SFC Bernard Walko - My point is that their hands aren't clean, despite their rhetorical attempts. They sure as heck took those free vaccines that were funded by the federal government, and they had them administered to their faculty, staff, and students by a local partner who is funded by the federal government.
Yes, all federal money comes from tax revenue. That federal revenue can be used to accelerate economic growth beyond what might otherwise occur in the absence of their involvement (like the road that helped enable someone's success).
