It won't go anywhere. I feel their pain, but are they going to sue Ford, GM, or any other car manufacturer for creating a vehicle that has more horsepower than is required to get to point A to B? Are we going to sue liquor manufacturers for making moonshine or 151 proof alcohol when having -1proof would be "sufficient" to have the desired effect? The weapon is a TOOL. You can lock and load it, place it on FIRE, put a finger on the trigger, and point it at someone. In ALL of that, the weapon is just a tool. It didn't load itself, it didn't put itself on fire, and it didn't put your finger on the trigger. It's the ignorant asshole behind the weapon that has Mens rea, NOT the weapon. Fight the fight that needs to be won; not a fight that is destined to be tossed somewhere and nothing is gained.

opens the door to millions of lawsuits. I guess now if a drunk driver hits my car I will be able to sue the beer maker and the auto manufacture. I'm sorry. This stupid a$$ court must be a liberal court that doesn't understand the guns didn't kill those kids. A crazy kid that slid under the system because people passed laws that made a persons mental state a national secret. I say sue the idiots that passed that law and the courts for allowing a lawsuit go forward like this.

Another reason to make sure HRC or Ole Bern doesn't get elected.

I guess these people and courts have no idea of personnel responsibility nor what places will do to offset the cost. Just like Health Insurance to offset all the lawsuits they see.

"If looks could kill" is what this case hinges upon. Because when the complainant uses the term "military-style weapon", they MUST be talking about what it looks like, rather than how it operates. Because it doesn't operate like a military assault rifle. "It looks military, therefore the manufacturer created an unreasonably high risk"...that is what the complainant must convince the jury of.

so I'm eating a salad right now. If I get choked on the salad I can sue my company for having it for sale here, the vendor, the company that made the salad and the farmer that grew it, because if he hadn't grown it I wouldn't have got choked...Oh wait. I almost for got. Sue God for creating the lettuce.

LOL, yes. The whole idea is ridiculous, but it sprouts from a common theme today: You are not responsible for your own life, your own decisions.
