We've got to get rid of this arbitrary shaving nonsense... There's no point to this at all.
And before you scream about gas masks, the average Soldier wears a gas mask once or twice a year, and only for training. And that's a huge maybe... A lot of Soldiers go YEARS between gas chamber training events....
"But what about deployments!?" I hear you scream. That's fine. Commanders can mandate shaving downrange when there's a CBRN threat. That shouldn't affect policy outside that theater of operations.

SFC (Join to see) - Tracking... I think people forget that during the initial invasion of Iraq we were in MOPP gear, and we often went weeks without shaving, showers, etc...

SFC Michael Hasbun - You can't use logic against seniors that can't grow a beard in the first place, at least that's the word from the bottom regarding why we can't. Though I'm sure you've heard it before.

This is a ridiculous article since Airman promotions are test based. Not sure there is a question on the test asking if one is wearing a beard.
