Southern Poverty Law Center Has Become a Left-wing, Money-grabbing, Slander Machine

SPLC is a lot like the ACLU.

They started with both good intentions and good rhetoric. These, in turn, fostered good acts. But as time went on and they gained notoriety and, more importantly, power, the good intentions started slipping. Power corrupts, and SPLC is not immune.

SPLC realized that most people are gullible. They are even more gullible if the person talking to them is an "expert." They also realized that the more people who thought hate was a problem, the more important they would be. So they started shouting from the rooftops. They stopped caring about solving/stopping/reducing hate and becqme only concerned with publicizing it.

Then they took the next step. They had reached critical mass. Hate was almost universally accepted as being out there and being a problem. And SPLC was *THE* universally accepted arbiter of who was or was not a hate group. They had achieved unchecked power. So now they started working on riches. As a group that was funded almost entirely by donations, they had to convince everyone that not only was hate a problem, but it was a BIG problem - and growing. The bigger the problem, the more important SPLC is. And the more donation money they can rake in. So the next step was to stop being satisfied with just documenting hate. They started searching for it. And when traditional forms of hate dried up, they started expanding the definition.

SPLC these days only cares about perpetuating their power so they can keep raking in cash. Any claims of being anti-hate anymore is just lip service to keep the Benjamin's flowing.
