Soldiers tried to drink alcohol in the field, but ingested antifreeze, initial probe says

That explains the stupidity at Bliss

When I was in WLC (2007, Lewis, Jan) it was at the end of the course. Last night of the field exercise. All we had was to do a ball and graduate.

Someone apparently got a spouse to bring alcohol to the training area because several people got drunk. We found out because we all got dragged out of thehe tents middle of the night. I see them carrying someone on a cot like a stretcher.

Someone got so drunk they passed out on top of their sleeping bag and got hypothermia. We had a few in my platoon get caught. One was in the Ranger battalion. He got narced out. He wasn't in Ranger Bat after that I heard. Three people were there from Irwin and got sent home.

Idk why they felt the need to get drunk when we were about done with the course. But some soldiers are just stupid. Throughout the Army.

What a horrible accident. On can have a lifetime of bad effects.
