I think it could be worth looking into. Not necessarily something along the lines of HGH though as I don't see brute strength as the thing that's needed most in combat. Plus, giving guys HGH won't force them to work out, which is still needed. What's needed is endurance. And for that I'd turn to EPO, the stuff Lance Armstrong and other endurance athletes have taken. I read an article written by a guy that took it in order to be able to actually see what it did and report it. He said it was amazing. He could ride his bike 200 miles and then wake up the next day and do it again. Give this stuff to guys in combat situations and they could go further and fight longer before giving out.

Let me know if you could find that article! I would definitely be interested. I have heard the same results with GW-50516 as far as endurance goes. I agree endurance would definitely be number one but I think the closet tie would be recovery. Finding a anabolic that would help soldiers recover at incredible rates would prove useful in the field and in training. Instead of needing time off for injury prevention if we could increase the recovery rates of soldiers this would limit injury as well as put them back in the field or harsh training. Also advanced recovery would allow the individual to become stronger and have better conditioning.

SPC (Join to see) - I reread the article and had forgotten what all he was taking. It wasn't just EPO. It's an interesting read for sure.

Funny, I always thought roid rage was the default for most drill sergeants.

Creating super soldiers are we? Bad idea. In times of war you don't need to be battling hormonal imbalanced troops while you're trying to battle the enemy. Besides, on the battle field strengh is more of a hindrance than it is a benefit. Especially since fighting is done at a distance. On the other hand, substance that increase endurance have been used by fighting forces worldwide for a very long time. They can, however, take a toll on the user, so they have to be used sparingly and only in emergencies.
