“A team of five Public Works staffers will begin patrolling the alleys around Polk Street and other hot spots in a vehicle equipped with a steam cleaner,” according to the San Francisco Chronicle.
The Poop Patrol will work to remove feces before locals have a chance to report incidents to a city 311 hotline – which has already received nearly 15,000 such complaints thus far in 2018, the Chronicle reports.

Issue summons/tickets/fines for this. Every few blocks a porta potty and empty them at least daily

Hi Col, I doubt very seriously if violators care about fines, etc. if they are doing this. Besides, who pays for the porta Johns and their upkeep? They have a serious problem money won’t make go away.

Now they have to pay for street cleaners and special equipment. Conferences are being cancelled and the city is losing revenue
